Job Title: Financial Operations Officer (entry level)
Location: Washington, DC

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Oversight and organization of the following job duties:

  • With U.S. government oversight, coordinate the GPOI fiscal year funding proposal review and budget allocation    processes.

  • In coordination with the GPOI Regional Coordinators, maintain consolidated regional and global financial trackers

  • Provide input for Congressional Notifications and allotment memoranda

  • Draft and circulate intra-Department and interagency financial agreements

  • Monitor and provide reports on program obligation and expenditures

  • Reconcile financial reports from the Department of State’s Office of Acquisition Management (AQM), Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA), Combatant Command or vendors

  • Provide inputs for monthly and quarterly reports to Congress on program obligations and expenditures

  • Respond to financial inquiries from Congress and other U.S. government offices

  • Develop GPOI financial briefs for program planning conferences, as well as other security assistance/cooperation and related conferences

  • Compile and present weekly (and as required) the GPOI Financial Issues Report, including reporting on open financial issues, funds available for obligation, unfinanced requirements, and languishing program funds

  • Serve as backup to the APRRP Financial Operations Officer/Data Manager

  • Conduct other program-related support activities, as directed

  • Interest in Peacekeeping and international affairs a plus

 

Highly organized and energetic, Bachelor’s or Master’s in International affairs or related field preferred.
